Levine has almost 20 years of experience designing and developing large
computer systems within the medical community. Ms. Levine’s current
responsibilities include the design and integration of information systems
requirements for the MindmyHeart Home monitoring and case management project
for Congestive Heart Failure Patients and the design, development, and
implementation of the MyCareTeam Internet-based diabetes management project.
Past telemedicine projects managed by Ms. Levine include telemedicine for
hemodialysis patients, deployable radiology for US troops in Bosnia-Herzegovina
and Kuwait, and the development of an Internet based Home Peritoneal Dialysis
management system building on the MyCareTeam platform.
Prior to focusing on web-based disease management, Ms. Levine managed digital
imaging related projects for the Department of Radiology at Georgetown
University. Her responsibilities included the design, installation, and
implementation of digital imaging networks for the Department of Radiology at
Georgetown University as well as other grant funded operations.
Before joining Georgetown, Ms. Levine worked in the Radiation Medicine
Department of the New England Medical Center (NEMC), for Pratt & Whitney
Aircraft and for Kaman Aerospace.
Ms. Levine received her Bachelor’s of Science degree from the State
University of New York at Stony Brook in Applied Mathematics and her
Master’s of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University
of Massachusetts at Amherst. Ms. Levine’s master thesis was to
develop mathematical optimization techniques for radiation treatment planning
for breast cancer.
